V-Cone Suction Test Stands

Leamount suction airflow test stands allow large effective areas to be measured.
Leamount suction airflow systems consist of a high flow fan drawing air through a primary flow element such as a venturi or McCrometer Inc. V-Cone connected to the output of a test fixture.
As the pressure head (drop) that fans can provide is limited fans it is essential that the primary flow element has low permanent pressure loss to maximise the differential available to the test station.

Leamount has standardised on McCrometer V-Cone primary flow elements as they have very low losses and do not require long upstream and down stream pipe lengths. This allows a compact flow system to be built.
Closed Loop Suction Test Cabin
A common requirement is measuring flame tube and combustor ring segments with effective areas ranging up to 8000 mm2.
Leamount supplies a closed loop system mounted in a self contained cabin to cover this flow range with the following key features:
- Self contained free standing transportable cabin
- Dual compartments - fan chamber and test chamber
- Sound proofed air conditioned fan chamber - return cooled air to test chamber
- Sound proofed ducts for air circulation from fan chamber to test chamber
- V-cone flow channel - 6 inch with traceable air calibration
- Large built-in test bench with base fixture and piezometer ring
- Additional channels (e.g. 4 inch; 2 inch) to extend range - option
- Automatic test cycles
- Golden master comparison mode
- Insitu calibration
- Variable flow control - option
- Weatherproof option
